Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Dept. has completed Setu Babakan lake dredging, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta. That 30-hectares lake was dredged into 6-7 meters depth.

Jakarta SDA Dept. Head, Teguh Hendrawan said, dredging process has been started since April using six excavators.
"We are using 10 dump trucks to transport it. We make the lake deeper into around 6-7 meters with water level around 5 meters," he said, Thursday (7/27).
Setu Babakan Infrastructures BeautifiedHe mentioned, not only for welcoming Lebaran Betawi event, but dredging was also done to optimize Setu Babakan function in order to minimize flood to occur in Jagakarsa, Mampang, and Kali Krukut areas.
"We have repaired the damaged retaining wall as well. We also paint it thus Lebaran Betawi visitors will feel comfortable," he closed.
